Welcome

To the Village of Woodwind Lakes, the beautiful gated community also know as Section 4 of Woodwind Lakes.  This wooded commnity of 182 Trendmaker and David Weekley homes is located in Northwest Houston Between Windfern Road and Gessner Road off 290 West.

Gates

The access gates to The Village have been updated.  All Residents and guest may enter the Gessner gate using the new readers and access panel.  The Windfern gate is now a Resident ONLY entry.  All residents have received a form in the mail or logged online to complete the form necessary to issue an access code for entry.   Residents may access The Village in one of  the following ways if they have completed the form

Gessner Gate:

  • Access Code (Digits) to enter on the access pad to open the gate. (Free) 
  • Your Tollway sticker on your vehicle that has been registered on the WWL form (Free)
  • Access KEY or Access Car Tag that must be purchased. Forms have been mailed out (Fee)

Guest may use the directory , which dials the number you provided on the form. The resident punches in 9 from that phone and the gate will open.

Windfern access by residents using their toll tags, access vehicle tag or access cards. 


Streets and Drainage

One of the differences between the Village and the other sections of Woodwind Lakes is that we own our own streets.  In the event there is damage, to either our streets or drainage, those funds come from our reserves.  The WWL HOA Board works to ensure we have sufficient funds in the reserves to manage these issues as they arise. We ask that you do your part by reporting any issues that may need immediate attention to Sterling or the President of WWL.

A reminder that Woodwind Lakes is a community of single family dwellings and therefore all homes should have sufficient parking for all vehicles.  We periodically have the Fire department drive through our community and identify areas that may create a challenge for them to drive or turn an emergency vehicle thru our streets.  So PLEASE park in your garage and your driveways and keep the streets clear.  

VILLAGE ALERTS  

A New Access System is has been installed in The Village (Section 4) that will now list the residents of this gated community. New security cameras have been installed at the Gessner and the Windfern Gate to capture vehicles entering and leaving the facility.  Our gates and access panels have been damaged on several occasions and now we will have the ability to capture this on video.  

Windfern Entry is now a Resident Only access gate.  Residents may access the Windfern entry with their sticker or card depending on the option you have selected. 

The Gessner entrance will be utilized by residents, guest and deliveries.  If you have a delivery or guest they will punch the code next to your name listed in the directory and it will ring the phone you have designated for WWL to connect to the gate code. The resident will punch the number 9 on their phone and the gate will open providing access.

Access Methods: for Residents are the following:
  1. Free: Entry with  access code assigned to you ( multiple codes may be assigned , kids, nurses, daycare,etc )
  2. Free: Entry with your Harris County Toll Tag Number that was submitted on the form.
  3. Fee:  Gate Access Card or Gate Access Car Tag  (may be purchased and forms have been mailed)
