WWL Women's Club

The Women's Club meets on the third Tuesday of each month, September through May, in members’ homes. Ladies who can't host meetings in their homes can sign up as co-hostesses to help furnish refreshments. Dues are $25.00 per club year.

Mission

Our mission is to give members the opportunity to socialize, attend meetings and to participate in fun and interesting activities. The Club gives out welcome packets to new residents, takes food to residents after illness, surgery or a death in the family, and also supports the Mission of Yahweh.

Meeting Dates

The meetings for the 2011-2012 year are as follows:

• November 15, 2011: Sally Wright will discuss Joanna Maxwell’s 18th century needlework sampler in the home of Judy Bomer.
• December 13, 2011: Fran Smith will serve as hostess and her daughter, Miranda Sevcik, will discuss 'Adventures with the media from Michael Jackson to Colin Powell’.
• January 17, 2012: Hostess, Marianne West, will introduce our guest who will teach us the fine art of packing luggage.
• February 21, 2012: Hostesses Gulshan Hira and Villoo Hattiangadi will inform the Club on all things Indian—food, culture and music. A question /answer session will follow.
• March 20, 2012: The members will take a field trip to the Houston Museum of Fine Arts to view the exhibit on King Tut. Afterwards, we’ll lunch at a restaurant.
• April 17, 2012: Joyce Kraft will open her home to the Club and speaker, Lynn Collins, will educate the members on gardening.
• May 15, 2012: This date is our end of the year luncheon and will be at Café Red Onion located on Eldridge Parkway.
